International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The BioMat4CAST Team congratulate the ladies and young ladies who dedicate their lives and time to science and research, and wish them great professional success and prosperity.

Declared by the UN General Assembly in 2015, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated every year on February 11. It is the perfect opportunity to remind ourselves that women and girls play a key role in the scientific and technological community and that their participation must be boosted.

Join us in the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033) for the IVth edition of Global Women's Breakfast ROMANIA, event hosted by the National Institute for Research & Development in chemistry and petrochemistry ICECHIM Bucharest, on 11th of February, 9:30 EET!
This event highlights gender equity in science and technology while fostering innovation for a sustainable future.

Goals:

BioMat4Cast project - Official Announcement

On 07.12.2022, at 11.00, the official launch of the Horizon Europe project of the ERA Chair type: BioMat4CAST - Petru Poni Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry - Multi-Scale In Silico Laboratory For Complex and Smart Biomaterials took place within the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry "Petru Poni" (ICMPP) - Advanced Research Center for Bionanoconjugates and Biopolymers (IntelCentru), Iasi.

BioMat4CAST is a project worth 2.5 million Euros financed by the Horizon Europe program and aims to create a team to study Computational Chemistry in ICMPP under the guidance of a prestigious researcher, Prof. Aatto Laaksonen (Arrhenius Laboratory, Stockholm University, Sweden). The project Coordinator is Dr. Rusu Teodora, and the project Scientific Manager is Dr. Mariana Pinteala.
