Research Assistant with a strong background in organic chemistry. Her present study is focused on the development of β-cyclodextrin functionalized supramolecular hydrogels that are crosslinked through the formation of guanosine quadruplexes. These hydrogels are of great interest for a range of biomedical applications due to their antibacterial properties. Monica’s work involves a detailed characterization of the hydrogels using a variety of techniques, such as circular dichroism, SEM, AFM, and XRD, to fully understand their complex structure.
